Our Year in Pictures: 2025

2025 was a milestone year for The Dressing Room. We celebrated our 20-year anniversary with a cocktail party and fashion show, refurbished our store, and Deryane graced the front cover of Drapers magazine. A year of celebration, creativity, and community — read on for our highlights.

Events & Collaborations

2025 was a fun-filled year, packed with events and celebrations. We kicked things off with a wellness collaboration alongside Harpenden Medical Clinic, setting the tone for a year centred around feeling good — inside and out.

May was all about celebrating 20 years of fashion. We marked the milestone with a sun-drenched catwalk show and cocktail party at St Albans Museum. Tickets sold out in minutes, and the event was everything we hoped for — one we’ll remember for years to come.

Our 20th Anniversary window displays stopped people in their tracks, telling our story through images of highlights from the past two decades. We also collaborated with British perfume brand Ampersand to launch our exclusive scent, Edition 20, and hosted in-store pop-ups with Paige Denim and KKnekki hairbands — you wouldn’t believe how many hairbands were sold this year!

We love hosting interactive events, and in November we worked with John Pritchard, founder of British fragrance brand 1981, to help customers find their perfect scent using a fun and engaging scent quiz.

Press & Industry Highlights

2025 was a standout year for press. We were featured across national, digital, and industry titles, with a true career high for Deryane as she appeared on the front cover of industry bible Drapers. The feature celebrated the business’s journey and achievements to date.

Boutique magazine also ran a five-page spread on The Dressing Room, and Deryane spoke at several industry events, including The Industry of Fashion.

She shared her business journey and advice on podcasts such as Retail Insights and Start, Scale, Succeed, and began her mentoring journey by joining the Retail Makeover mission, supporting fellow retailers with practical guidance and encouragement.

Refurbishment: A New Look for a Milestone Year

What better way to celebrate 20 years than with a complete transformation of our store? After two decades of style, community, and friendship, it felt like the perfect moment to refresh our space and step confidently into our next chapter.

The refurbishment was inspired by Deryane’s love of Scandinavian design — clean lines, natural textures, soft neutral tones, and a sense of calm that makes shopping a true pleasure. A space where you want to linger. (You can read more about the refurbishment process here.)

The Team

Laura returned from maternity leave in December, and we welcomed Maisie as a full-time stylist. Clementine and Harriet also joined us as weekend stylists on the shop floor. And of course, we celebrated our 20th year with a summer team party — because milestones like this deserve to be toasted together.

Charity

With your support, we were proud to raise money for some wonderful causes in 2025.

We started the year with a fabulous New Year Charity raffle, and we raised an incredible £1,510 for Alzheimer's Society. During the year we also raised £770 for Tommy’s Pregnancy and Baby Loss charity, and £740 for Youth Talk which funded 15 counselling sessions for young people in need.

Travel & Buying Trips

Deryane continued her search for newness with buying trips to Copenhagen with Charley and Charlotte, and Paris with Jenna. As always, these trips were full of street style inspiration, helping to shape many of the key looks you see in store today.

We can’t wait for you to see the collections we discovered, which will start dropping into store soon.

Brands

We welcomed 24 new brands to our edit this year, including Varley, Grenson, Haute L’Amitié, Soft Goat, Naghedi bags, and Alohas.
