Role - Accounts Assistant
We require an Accounts Assistant to join our team. We are looking for a pro-active, confident individual with sound accounting skills and an understanding of the retail industry is desirable.
Duties will include;
- Purchase ledger
- Web Sales reconciliation from various third parties
- Nominal Ledger
- Setting up new suppliers
- Bank Reconciliations, incl credit card
- Bacs payments
- Resolving and investigating queries from suppliers
- Negotiating terms with suppliers
- Stock management
- Inter company accounts
- Banking and store cash reports
- Fixed asset register
- Assisting external accountants where required
- Assisting the Director where required
What you need:
We are looking for a pro active individual that can use their initiative. An understanding of the retail industry would be helpful.
The Role is demanding and needs a can do attitude with sound problem solving skills. Hours are ideally full time but we can be flexible for the right candidate.
You will be working within a small, busy office supporting the Director and management team on all aspects of the finances, supplier terms and negotiation and stock management.
If you have completed AAT qualification that would be ideal but we will consider candidates without this but who have the relevant experience. Experience on accounts software Xero along with strong IT skills are essential as is the ability to work well in a small, friendly and supportive team. You should be customer focused and have the ability to work well in a fast paced and changing environment.
