Have you spotted something new in our window? 👀 A huge thank you to St Albans and Hertfordshire Architectural Society for this wonderful new addition. We love discovering more about the history of our beautiful building and are proud to call St Albans home ❤️ The building has always been home to fabric, tailors and clothing. In the late 1880s the building was the "Berlin Wool Repository" run by various families:-Giles, Boyd, Nixon, Pearson, Turner, Vale. "Berlin Wool" was a style of embroidery, similar to needlepoint, then popular. Andrews' tailors came in 1907 and The Dressing Room in 2006! @deryanetadd was incredibly proud to take over the building following such heritage.
