We are very excited to be introducing Spanish brand Flabelus to The Dressing Room for Spring Summer 2026. Flabelus stands out for something refreshing: authenticity. This on trend footwear brand reinvents classic Mediterranean styles, such as the espadrille with personality, sustainability, and incredible craftsmanship. From the moment you step into a pair, it’s clear these aren’t just shoes, but a story told with every step.

Founded in 2020, Flabelus is a handmade shoe brand rooted in Madrid. Each and every pair is crafted in Spain by skilled artisans who use traditional centuries-old espadrille making techniques that have been passed down through generations. Flabelus has its own factory in Elche, in the province of Alicante, which is a region famous for its rich shoemaking history and deep artisan roots. 

What makes Flabelus truly special is how it blends a timeless craft with modern values:

• Hand-sewn construction: The classic structure of the Spanish espadrille which is known for its flexible, light feel  is stitched by hand using traditional techniques 

• Eco-friendly materials: The soles are made from 100% recycled rubber, including recycled bicycle tire rubber, giving each pair extra grip and durability with an earth-conscious footprint.

• Sustainable textiles: Their styles are crafted from organic cotton, velvet and breathable fabrics, and insoles combine recycled microfibres with natural materials for comfort and breathability.

• Low-waste processes: Flabelus emphasises responsibly sourced fabrics and recyclable packaging, making each pair more sustainable from start to finish. 

The name ‘Flabelus’ was born from friendship and shared dreams. The name itself, Fla-Be-Lus, comes from the founder, Beatriz, and the names of her close friends Flaminia and Lucrecia, who have supported the brand from the beginning. 

How to Style Flabelus

Flabelus shoes are incredibly versatile, here’s how we’ll be styling them this summer:

1. Everyday Casual: Style these shoes back with a pair of Citizens of Humanity Miro jeans and an easy American Vintage knit for a chic weekend look. Finish off with a Ganni bag, and some fun Roxanne Assoulin jewels. Their rounded toes and soft fabrics make them ideal for all-day comfort.
