Deryane’s SS26 Trend Report

SS26 - where do I start?! I can’t wait to introduce you to this season’s edit. It’s shaping up to be a truly uplifting season, blending chic, considered styling with playful, feel-good elements. The key looks that stood out to me for SS26 are:

Modern Folk

Modern Folk focuses on handmade textures, with crochet and cross stitch appearing across collections in a modern, grown-up way. These techniques feel elevated rather than nostalgic, offering subtle interest through texture and detail. Expect easy co-ords perfect for warm days, alongside beautifully crafted tops designed to pair effortlessly with your favourite denim.

SeaScape

SeaScape offers a quiet, thoughtful translation of the coast. There was barely a collection that didn’t reference coral, shells, lobsters, or starfish this season. Playful and uplifting, the look is brought to life through textural elements - mesh nods to fishing nets, while rope details add depth and tactility without tipping into novelty.

Courtside

With Wimbledon whites, strawberry motifs, and soft tailoring, Courtside is one of the most wearable stories of the season. These pieces transition seamlessly from summer parties to the office - or, of course, courtside - offering a polished yet relaxed approach to spring/summer dressing.

Layered Lace

Layered Lace combines minimal silhouettes softened by delicate lace layering. Scandi styling places emphasis on texture and transparency, with a subtle nod to 1990s minimalism. This trend is less about spectacle and more about simplicity - think an asymmetric lace camisole styled over tailored trousers, finished with a light knit or relaxed blazer.

Soft Sculpture

Soft Sculpture introduces bubble hems and cuffed trousers that offer ease of movement while maintaining a clean, modern profile. This is subtle statement dressing at its best, where shape and drape do the talking.

Set Dressing

Set Dressing continues to prioritise ease, versatility, and cohesion. Relaxed silhouettes, soft tailoring, and interchangeable separates support a wardrobe built around flexibility and repeat wear - pieces that work harder and feel effortless.

Club Cool 2.0

A fresh evolution of the preppy aesthetic, Club Cool 2.0 sees relaxed silhouettes take centre stage. Boxy polo shirts, relaxed blazers, track pants, and cargo trousers define the look, with soft colour palettes lifted by pastel highlights.

Brand Highlights

The list is endless, but here are a few standout memories from buying the SS26 edit:

  • Day Birger et Mikkelsen for elevated tailoring
  • Dea Kudibal for her beautiful hand-drawn prints
  • Munthe for perfectly executed florals, stripes, and lace detailing
  • Fabienne Chapot for a playful take on the SeaScape trend, infused with Portuguese influence — fishes, netting, and “out of office” motifs make this a standout collection
  • Stella Nova, bringing nautical to life with their Very Lucky Cruise Captain collection

Newness for SS26

Newness will be plentiful this season, with several exciting brands joining the edit.

  • Farm Rio makes a grand entrance with unapologetically fun, playful, and vibrant Brazilian designs
  • Sancia the Label brings Australian laid-back luxe with a confident, pared-back collection

We’ll also be welcoming Sissel Edelbo, New Day Originals, Le Tricots de Léa, A.P. Flowze, Flabelus, and Silk95five to the SS26 edit.

Denim Updates

While slimmer silhouettes make a return, the wide leg remains a perennial staple. Barrel-leg jeans feel more refined for SS26, featuring curved legs and tulip hems. Cargo styles also reappear, updated with looser fits reminiscent of 90s and early 00s styling.
