The Brand: Ba&sh Paris

Ba&sh is a French brand founded by women, for women! The name (‘Ba’ & ‘Sh’) uses the first letters from the best friends’ names, Barbara Boccara & Sharon Krief, and are the two stylish ladies behind the worldwide renowned women’s clothing and accessories brand. Bash epitomizes effortlessly cool Parisian chic, with its easy & modern elegance, a capsule wardrobe that takes you from day to evening, boardroom to off duty, to suit all lifestyles.

In 2003, after both ladies had their second child, discussions were had about starting their own clothing line. Barbara who worked in PR and Sharon who was a lawyer had the idea of creating a dream wardrobe for themselves and other women.

The pair of constantly inspired by their daily life, travel, art, film, and their team. Each season they gather their design team in Ibiza for a creative retreat to envision their upcoming range, always with the same undertone of French sexiness with a confident femininity, creating ideal clothes for women to move and live in.

The Bash wardrobe is built up of foundation pieces, to enable you to mix n match, creating different outfits for all eventualities. Already the brand has popular signature pieces from their collections, like the ‘Caitlin’ Boot from the brand’s Bash boots range and the ‘Teddy’ bag from the Bash bags lines. Female empowerment is not in the design of the clothing but with the brands business model. Over the years the brand has built a female legacy, supporting women throughout the development of the business. To date 88% of employees in the company are women, 73% women are in the executive committee and 85% managerial employees are women.

Not only are they big on inclusion and diversity, the brand has been working hard to become greener. Since 2020 Ba&sh has been taking steps every year to build a more sustainable infrastructure, every season they increase the proportion of certified materials used in the collections, such as wool, viscose and organic cotton. They are working on reducing their greenhouse gas emissions and to reduce their use of plastic by using recyclable or recycled materials in their packaging.
