Happy Small Business Saturday! As tomorrow is small business Saturday, I thought this was the perfect opportunity to tell you a little bit about how The Dressing Room came to life, back in 2005 and the people behind the business. Not originally from St Albans, this great City became home a couple of years after launching The Dressing Room. Now, at 53 with my husband Chris and our 7 year old son I am grateful that we have built such a great community through The Dressing Room. Following a career on the shopfloor in fashion retail, I started The Dressing Room with one vision: to empower women through Fashion and style, and to create a truly personal shopping experience that felt warm, welcoming and real. Every item is thoughtfully chosen by myself and is delivered by a team of 20 incredible women that care just as much as I do. No day is ever the same for me and I wear many ‘hats’ and spin a lot of plates in my role! My week generally consists of business strategy and planning, filming content and a couple of days buying in London – I am always looking for more great product that I know you will love. Saturdays are my shopfloor day and I am happiest either visual merchandising or styling on the shopfloor. Thank you for shopping small, supporting local and believing in what we do.
