Our Founder and Buyer, Deryane Tadd, has been invited to join the judging panel for this year’s prestigious Drapers Awards. It’s a huge honour and a wonderful recognition of Deryane’s passion, expertise and years of experience championing independent fashion retail. Deryane founded The Dressing Room in May 2005, building it from an independent boutique in St Albans into an award-winning womenswear store and online destination, often described as a “mini department store”. As the sole buyer, Deryane has spent over 20 years immersed in fashion, with a discerning eye for emerging designers, forward-thinking trends and the brands set to make their mark. Today, she curates over 100 brands from across the globe, creating a carefully considered mix of attainable and aspirational womenswear across all categories. We’re looking for someone with excellent customer service and communication skills, a natural flair for outfit building and styling, and a flexible, can-do approach. The role includes: • Customer service & sales • Outfit building & styling • Processing deliveries & stockroom work • Supporting the wider team and day-to-day running of the boutique • Able to work weekends Retail experience is desirable, and you’ll need to be hardworking, proactive and available to work Saturdays.
