HATCH ON THE HILL

In our opinion, all the best days start with a good cup of coffee so why not pop down to St.Albans and grab a morning coffee at Hatch on Holywell Hill. They have a delicious offering on their menu, perfect for brunch (or burgers later!) and if you wanted to finish the day where you started, they're open late for cocktails too!

MARKET PLACE

After your morning coffee, why not take a wander and explore the St.Albans market, which is on every Wednesday and Saturday. From food stalls to unique products, you’re likely to find a gem of sorts while strolling around. On the second Sunday of every month you'll find the Farmer's market with gorgeous fresh produce, and depending on the time of year we also have seasonal market stalls, like the Christmas Market, situated around the Cathedral. All of these are surrounded by a number of high street shops located on Peter's Street, St Christopher's Place and the Maltings Shopping Arcade.

HIIT Kitchen

After all that shopping, you’ll definitely need a refuel and we recommend popping round to our friends at HIIT Kitchen located on Chequer Street. They do incredible healthy lunch options and the most delicious smoothies and juices, but open 7am - 7pm, you can get your fix from morning to night! One of our favourite combos has got to be the BBQ Chicken with a Beautiful Lady juice!

VERULAMIUM PARK

Verulamium Park is 100 acres of gorgeous parkland right by the city centre and named after the ancient city of Verulamium on which it stands. Take a stroll around the lake and see if you can spot the Roman ruins before popping into the museum to find out more about it's history, and if you've got a little one then they'll love the toddler splash park for some fun on a warm day! Quench a thirst after all that walking and have a drink in the oldest pub in Britain, Ye Old Fighting Cocks. There's also a spectacular fireworks display around Bonfire Night so if you time it right you can always finish your day in St.Albans with a bang!

THE FLOWER BOX

Not done shopping yet? If you paused for a shopping break, then pop back and complete your spree with us! We're also right opposite the Village Arcade which is home to The Flower Box, a boutique florist with the most beautiful blooms (and cacti, which we're also partial too!) so pick up a bunch before wandering through the Cathedral grounds and rose garden for a dose of stunning scenery.
