An interview with Rachel Jackson and Natasha Ngan, an author of two books and the brands behind the lifestyle and fashion blog 'Girl in the Lens'. The Dressing Room is proud to introduce the jewellery brand Rachel Jackson to our collections and we thought this interview was a beautiful way to mark the moment and with Natasha, a local St Albans girls who regularly shops with us.

'Girl in the Lens' has 20K followers on nstagram alone and Natasha has attracted the attentions of brands such as Jonathan Saunders, Kate Spade and Matchesfashion.com to establish herself as one of the UK's top bloggers. As well as a wonderful yoga teacher, Rachel Jackson interviewed her to find out what inspires her and her secrets to such a full lifestyle.

Could you tell a little bit about your blog and what inspired you?

I run my blog with my boyfriend Callum, who takes all our beautiful photos. We started it a few years ago as a creative project for the two of us to work on together, and now its one of my main jobs. It amazes me everyday to think of how its grown. I love finding new locations to shoot in, and how some shoots are planned far in advance and others are just on the cuff, when we're inspired by a particular spot or the light in that moment. We're big fans of a hazy sunset! In terms of fashion, I love simple, accessible styles that's got a luxe touch. My biggest inspirations come from street style and Instagram!

What are the other things you are passionate about in addition to blogging?

I write novels for teens, with two books published so far, and hopefully more on the way! I've loved writing since young, especially sci-fi and fantasy. It's just the best feeling, to get lost in a different world. Kind of like travelling for free! Alongside writing and blogging, I'm also a yoga teacher. Yoga to me is the perfect blend of looking after your heart, body and minde all in one. Teaching yoga is totally different from doing your own practise, as my attention is on my students instead of moving inwards, but I love sharing the yoga love and helping my students feel great in their own skin!

What is your favourite piece in the Rachel Jackson London collection and why?

I've got the Stay True to Yourself Pendant in Silver which I wear all the time. I just love the little message - it's a great reminder. I'm also obsessed with the Pineapple Stud Earrings!! They're super cute and perfect for Summer.

What are you fashion must have pieces that you could not live without?

Yoga leggings, because you can throw any top over them and add trainers or boots and look effortlessly cool, as well as feeling super comfy. An investment bag (I have a Mulberry). Choose one in a neutral colour and a practical size and it will last forever.

Define yourself in three words?

Creative, independent, introspective

Complete the following sentence: Happiness is...

...from within

What has been the highlight of your blogging career to date?

All the amazing people I've met through blogging! I had no idea how many friends I'd make, and all the interesting and inspiring people I'd get to be around on a daily basis.

Your must have places to go in London//Holiday destinations this Summer?

I'm all about Soho at the moment, and love spending weekends discovering all the little indepdendents coffee shops and book stores, and just wandering around and soaking in the atmosphere. I walk pretty much everywhere in London as a rule. It's the best way to explore! Outside of London, I'd love to go back to Ibiza this summer - the quiet size, not the party side!

Your life motto?

'If you don't make time to work on creating the life you want, you're eventually going to be forced to spend a lot of time dealing with life you dont want' - I love that!

What kind of jewellery do you like wearing?

Anything you can layer, especially when it comes to bracelets and rings. I also like jewellery with a meaning - which is one of the reasons I love Rachel's Life Rules collection so much!

What is currently on your wish list?

I'd love to get a few letters from the Deco Alphabet Range with sentimental value and wear them clustered together. I also fell in love with the Hexagon Full Bangle the moment I saw it. Such a simple but detailed piece! It would look amazing with a tan.
