Drapers Awards: Best Womenswear Independent Winner!

We are thrilled announce that The Dressing Room has won a desired Drapers Independents Award.

The results of the Drapers Independents Awards 2015 were revealed on 16^th September at the illustrious, The Brewery, London, where the fashion industry elite came together for an afternoon of recognition and celebration over the sector’s achievements.

St Albans based womenswear retailer, The Dressing Room has won in the Womenswear Independent of the Year category and was praised by the Drapers’ expert judging panel for building an “exceptional and phenomenal business.” The judges were impressed with the professionalism, buyer’s sense and imaginative marketing brought to the business by founder Deryane Tadd. This alongside the rapport that Deryane and her team have built with their customers all led to The Dressing Room being chosen as a ‘clear and worthy winner.’

Deryane said ‘being crowned the Womenswear Independent of the year is such a fantastic achievement for myself and my team and a wonderful way to mark our tenth year of trading. We are all over the moon and proud to be recognised for doing something that we are all so passionate about. I hope it serves as an inspiration to others looking to start their own business or looking to climb the ladder in independent retail, this accolade proves that working hard does pay off!’

This award is the latest in a list of accolades and is our sixth Drapers Independent award. With 13 targeted categories, the awards cover every aspect of the independent fashion industry, from Best Store Design to Lifestyle Independent of the Year.

The Drapers Independents Awards are the most applauded and relevant awards in the fashion independent sector. The awards provide industry recognition and unrivalled networking opportunities.
